The Redlands Police Officers Foundation (RPOF) was founded in 2009. The mission of the Redlands Police Officers Foundation is to support fallen/seriously injured police officers and their families as well as give back to the local Redlands community through donations, scholarships, sponsorships and volunteerism. The Redlands Police Officers Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, FEIN #27-0447003.
2025 Charitable Report
Support of Fallen Officers
The RPOF organized the Stand with Seth fundraiser to assist Redlands Police Officer Seth Franklin battling stage 4 cancer. Seth passed away on April 6th, 2025. His wife and two boys (ages 2 and 5) were left with no ongoing income or benefits. The RPOF was able to raise over $200,000 to support the family.
The RPOF made donations to the families of San Bernardino County Sheriff's Deputies Andrew Nunez and Hector Cuevas, who were tragically killed in the line of duty in our neighboring communities.
The Youth Hope Foundation
The RPOF made a donation during the year to the Youth Hope Foundation. The Youth Hope Foundation assists at-risk and homeless youth in the local area with food/shelter resources, job training, case management and education. Their target age group is 14–24 years old.
Bats & Badges Charity Baseball Game
The RPOF participated and funded the annual Bats and Badges charity baseball game along with the Redlands Police Community Foundation. This event is a fundraising event for Team Xtreme of Redlands Baseball for Youth. This team consists of children and adults with disabilities.
Sponsorships of High School Sports
The RPOF donated funds to sponsor the wrestling and baseball teams at Redlands High School and Redlands East Valley High School. This donation funded needs not covered by the normal high school budgets.
Redlands Educational Partnership Donation
The RPOF donated funds to the Redlands Educational Partnership. This organization strives to generate community support to promote, recognize, and stimulate excellence in education; to enhance the education of students through enrichment programs; to stimulate an atmosphere of creativity and respect for teachers; and to encourage a supportive community and private-sector relationship with the schools.
Believe Walk 2025
The RPOF designed and sold our annual breast cancer awareness tee shirt at the Believe Walk in Redlands. Proceeds from this sale are donated to Stater Bros Charities for breast cancer research. This event raised over $4,000.
The Redlands Benchwarmers Donation
The RPOF donated funds to the Redlands Benchwarmers to provide athletic equipment for local youth. For over 70 years, The Redlands Benchwarmers have assisted student athletes that would otherwise be unable to participate in sports due to financial hardships. Funds go towards academic assistance, uniforms, equipment, and facilities rehab.
Blue Christmas
The RPOF in collaboration with the Redlands Police Department funded Christmas gifts to be delivered to local youth by police officers. This event provides Christmas gifts to local at-risk youth and victims of crime to provide a memorable Christmas for their families.
Micah House
The RPOF donated to Micah House Redlands. Micah House is an educational after-school program for children and youth from 1st through 12th grades. Established in 2001, Micah House seeks to meet the tremendous challenges faced by kids today in the under-resourced neighborhoods of North Redlands, California.
2025 Stuff a Plane Toy Drive
The RPOF donated and participated in the Salvation Army Stuff a Plane Toy Drive at the Redlands Airport. This event collects gifts for local youth, Santa flew in to greet the kids, and LifeStream had a blood drive. This event was a collaboration between the Salvation Army and the Redlands Airport Association.
Mansion Memories Donation
The RPOF donated to Mansion Memories. This organization is dedicated to serving children and families in crisis, providing magical memories hosted at the Burrage Mansion in Redlands. Events are based on story, movie and action heroes who perform and interact with children.
14th annual Loot Scoot & Shoot Fundraiser
The RPOF donated funds for the Loot Scoot & Shoot event. This unique event involves stops for tossing darts, shooting, bowling, and a corn hole tournament. Funds are donated to the Ronald McDonald House of Loma Linda.
Thanksgiving Tuesday
The RPOF hosted Thanksgiving Tuesday the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. This event provides Thanksgiving meals to over 350 people at Sylvan Park in Redlands. The RPOF provides the food and cooks it on our barbeque trailer.
Heros & Helpers Christmas shopping event
The RPOF participated in the Heros & Helpers Christmas shopping event for youth at the Citrus Plaza in Redlands. This event is a collaboration with the Redlands Police Department and the Redlands Police Community Foundation.
The Unforgettables Foundation
The RPOF donated to the Unforgettables Foundation. Their mission is to enable low-income families to give their children a dignified burial. Empower communities to memorialize children who have died. Educate parents and children’s caregivers to confront, control and conquer the primary risks to our children’s health and wholeness. Encourage communities to recognize the financial trauma which is often associated with the death of a child.
Barbecue Trailer Outreach
The RPOF rolled out our bbq trailer to support many events and organizations including the Micah House Back 2 School Jam, Tunnels 2 Towers Foundation, Redlands Unified School District, Citrus Valley High School, The Redlands Bowl, Coptober, Bulldogs & Heroes event at the University of Redlands and our Thanksgiving Tuesday event at Sylvan Park.
Blessing Center Donation
The RPOF donated to The Blessing Center of Redlands. This organization provides safe, stable and secure housing accommodations to maternity mothers in crisis, homeless unaccompanied women, and homeless mothers with children with a focus on Domestic Violence Victims.
Support of the Redlands Professional Firefighters Benevolent Fund
The RPOF sponsored several events for the Redlands Professional Firefighters supporting their benevolent fund.
The Redlands Community Scholarship Foundation
The RPOF donated to the Redlands Community Scholarship Foundation. This organization connects students with community donors by managing endowments and providing a streamlined system for applying, selecting, awarding, and administering scholarships.
MADD Donation
The RPOF donated to Mothers Against Drunk Driving supporting their efforts to reduce drunk driving deaths.
Boards & Badges 2025 Event
A new youth outreach event for 2025 at the Redlands Skate Park. This event was open to all youth and included skating, a DJ, free food and over 100 skate boards were given away. This event was a great way for youth to connect with our local police officers.
